Aprilaire Humidifier

The Aprilaire humidifier is of course manufactured by Aprilaire in Madison, Wisconsin. They are a division of Research Products Corporation, which was founded in 1938. The Aprilaire humidifier first came on the market in 1954 as the original, flow through design, evaporative humidifier. The design of the Aprilaire humidifier has not changed a great deal since it's inception.

As a flow through humidifier, the Aprilaire wastes a great deal of water. It also requires replacement water panels that cost $19.95 and up, as well as regular maintence by the homeowner or an HVAC company.
