Why don’t you sell any cedar saunas?

The are two primary reasons why SaunaGen does not manufacture and we do not sell cedar saunas. First and foremost, many individuals have a sensitivity or allergy to the natural oils found in cedar. They can experience respiratory irritation, skin rashes, and other symptoms when exposed to cedar. Secondly, compared to many other woods, cedar is very expensive and would result in a sauna that is considerably more expensive but lacking any additional benefits. Hemlock fir is a strong, stable wood that is reasonably priced, thereby allowing SaunaGen to produce high-end saunas at an affordable price, often 2/3 to ½ the price of its competition with similar product features and options.
