Acid Reduction

Many water treatment processes are impacted by low pH. Acidic pH levels can also increase corrosion thereby damaging pipes and leaching metals, including lead, into the water supply. We are pleased to offer the industry’s most popular media to increase pH, calcite and Corosex. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, and the two are often combined to obtain some of the benefits of each. Generally speaking, calcite is cheaper, self-limiting (will not over-correct) and used for smaller pH corrections, whereas Corosex is more powerful and used where larger pH adjustments are needed. If you would like assistance selecting the best media for your application, please feel free to contact one of our water treatment technicians.
