Arsenic Removal

Arsenic removal can be accomplished in a number of ways. Most processes involve either adsorption onto a metal oxide, or ion exchange. As competing ions can interfere with ion exchange, we tend to prefer processes that utilize adsorption and our top selling arsenic removal media by far is MetSorb HMRG from Graver Technologies. Filox and Katalyst Light (formerly known as Katalox Light) can also be effective at removing arsenic when there is an appropriate amount of iron in the water to facilitate co-precipitation (ratio of at least 20 parts iron to 1 part arsenic). Arsenic removal can be very pH sensitive so careful consideration of the operating range for your selected media should be given. If you would like assistance selecting the best media for your application, please feel free to contact one of our water treatment technicians.
