Taxes, Duties & Import Costs

Our general policies are noted below, however, since we use a variety of warehouse locations and also our manufacturing partners' facilities to expedite orders and reduce shipping costs, terms can vary depending on the circumstances of your shipment. Please review the terms of your quotation carefully in case there are exceptions for you order.
Shipments to addresses in U.S.A.
Generally, there are no taxes, duties, or import costs associated with shipments to addresses in the U.S.A. In the event that any such additional costs will apply to your shipment, this will be clearly indicated on our quotation and pro-forma invoice.
Shipments to addresses in Canada
Generally, there are no duties or import costs associated with shipments to addresses in Canada. In the event that any such additional costs will apply to your shipment, this will be clearly indicated on our quotation and pro-forma invoice. The following sales taxes apply in Canada:
- All provinces: GST/HST
- British Columbia: PST
- Quebec: QST
Shipments to addresses in other Countries
No taxes are charged by MediaWaveOnline on sales shipped to countries other than the U.S.A. or Canada. However, you will be responsible for all local sales and/or import taxes, duties, brokerage fees, and other import costs/levies in your home country upon import. You will require a customs broker to prepare the import for you. Please consult them in advance to clearly identify costs that you will be responsible for upon import.
We are able to have Commercial Invoices and Certificate of Origin documents validated by the Canadian Water Quality Association (no charge) or our local Chamber of Commerce ($160 fee) if required. Where applicable, we can also assist with the preparation of Certificate of Origin documents under various free trade agreements.
