KDF Media

KDF Media is manufactured by KDF Fluid Treatment, Inc. in 2 distinct product lines, each composed of a high- purity, granulated water filter media containing zinc and copper alloys in different ratios. KDF 55 is used primarily for the removal/reduction of chlorine and various heavy metals. KDF 85 is used primarily for the removal of iron and hydrogen sulfide. Both also inhibit the growth of bacteria and algae, making them a popular addition as a layer in activated carbon filters.
